Comprehensive care ACMC Rehabilitation Services moved to its new location in the ACMC Health and Wellness Plaza in January. It offers occupational therapy, physical therapy, speech therapy and specialty rehabilitation services—all with the goal of helping patients gain or regain optimal function. + Occupational therapy focuses on restoring the skills people need for daily activities, such as working, self-care or home independence, following an injury or disabling condition. + Outpatient physical therapy addresses functional limitations using therapeutic exercise, manual therapy, joint mobilization, massage, dry needling or other treatments. It has been proven to help with pain management, balance issues, physical weakness and inflexibility. + Speech therapy focuses on communication or swallowing issues due to stroke, neuromuscular issues, pediatric speech delay, articulation problems and more. + Specialty rehabilitation services include therapy options to address arthritis, geriatrics, balance and vestibular disorders. Aquatic therapy is also available.
