Ashtabula County Medical Center (ACMC) is bringing in Cleveland Clinic Children’s to combat obesity in Ashtabula County. Ashtabula County parents and children ages 12 to 18 are invited to join us for a series of Be Well Kids Clinics. Overcoming childhood obesity “Our Be Well Kids Clinics give parents an opportunity to meet with a team of health professionals to map out a strategy to help their child overcome obesity and related health problems,” said Roy Kim, MD, Cleveland Clinic Pediatric Endocrinologist. Childhood obesity may cause a child to have poor self-esteem or negatively affect their quality of life. About Be Well Kids Clinics At the Be Well Kids Clinic, parents and children meet with a pediatric endocrinologist, dietician, licensed social worker and personal trainer for sessions that include care planning, meal planning, the social impact of obesity, behavior changes and physical activity education.
