Over the past several years, ACMC has made a commitment to creating an Imaging Department that encompasses the current technologies in medical imaging. “The improvements made to our Radiology Department means not only do you get test results faster, but the quality is improved thanks to the latest equipment,” says ACMC Healthcare System President and CEO Michael Habowski. “The improvements are a good use of our resources because they help physicians and patients make better decisions about treatment.” In 2012 ACMC implemented a $1.5 million digital MR project, and in 2014 two family health centers, Conneaut and Jefferson, opened with direct digital x-ray available. In 2015 ACMC purchased a digital platform GE ultrasound unit and in 2017 two Siemens Acuson ultrasound units.
