ACMC Pulse  • acmchealth.org 3 WHEN I VISITED Ashtabula County Medical Center earlier this year, I congratulated caregivers for the spectacular work they do each day. This hospital is a critical part of healthcare in northeast Ohio. This year marks the 25th anniversary of the affiliation between Cleveland Clinic and ACMC. I applaud the hospital leaders of the 1990s who had the foresight to develop the relationship that improved local access to world-class healthcare. The more than 1,500 caregivers of ACMC Healthcare System exemplify the concept that we are a partnership that puts patients first. In 1994, Cleveland Clinic had eight regional hospitals. Today, we are a worldwide provider of healthcare, with our main campus and 11 regional hospitals in northeastern Ohio. We also have facilities in Florida, Nevada, Toronto, and Abu Dhabi (United Arab Emirates). In 2021, we will be opening a new facility in London. More than 80 ACMC and Cleveland Clinic providers see patients daily in the hospital or on an outpatient basis. A powerful team Across our 25-year relationship with ACMC, Cleveland Clinic has expanded its Ashtabula County services to include more than a dozen physicians in cancer care, cardiology, high-risk obstetrics, orthopaedics, urology and several pediatric specialties. We are a powerful team of caregivers focused caring for patients, caring for each other, caring for the organization and caring for our communities. Our combined efforts have positioned ACMC as having the largest network of providers in Ashtabula County. That sets ACMC apart and highlights the ACMC difference. What do the next 25 years hold for ACMC and Cleveland Clinic? You will see even better access to specialists—whether you see them at one of ACMC’s locations or virtually via your computer or smartphone. Finally, I know ACMC Healthcare System could not have experienced the growth it has seen without strong community support.
