Ashtabula County Medical Center | ACMC Pulse | Summer 2018

IT IS NOT UNCOMMON for healthcare organizations to promise you healthcare from A to Z. Ashtabula County Medical Center (ACMC) is one of the few places I have worked that actually keeps that promise. We have Allergist Akhil Chouksey, MD, and we have Urologist Craig Zippe, MD. We also have a sleep specialist who can help you get better Zs. All kidding aside, I am proud of the variety of healthcare providers ACMC now offers within our communities. Fulfilling our promise A little more than a decade ago, ACMC offered fewer than 25 family practice and specialty physicians. Often, there was only one specialist within each service we offered. Today, ACMC offers more than 60 family practice and specialty providers. We have physicians, physician assistants, nurse practitioners, athletic trainers and more that not only provide care right here at ACMC, but in our communities as well. We also offer multiple specialists in some categories, such as cardiology, gastroenterology, otolaryngology, obstetrics and gynecology, sleep disorders, and orthopaedics. I am proud to say that we are bringing the physicians to you so you do not have to travel outside Ashtabula County for your healthcare. More than a decade ago, ACMC promised you superior healthcare, and we are still living up to that promise today. In February, we cut the ribbon on ACMC’s newest facility— Ashtabula Family Health Center. You can read more about the services offered there on page 8 of this issue of Pulse . What makes me most proud about this facility Your community, your healthcare are the comments from patients who appreciate having all the services under one roof, outside the hospital facility. The facility joins our Family Health Centers in Conneaut, Geneva and Jefferson in providing convenient access to high-quality healthcare in our communities. Our goal at ACMC is to bring the providers to you—so you can stay close to home, where you’ll receive better care and have your friends and family nearby. As I like to remind people, ACMC’s history is tied to the care and support of the community. It was a promise founded when we opened our doors more than 113 years ago. It is still our promise today. Welcome Our goal at ACMC is to bring the providers to you—so you can stay close to home, where you’ll receive better care and have your friends and family nearby.
